Dear Kindergarten families,
I hope this email finds you well. I regret to inform you that due to the impending threat posed by Hurricane Hilary, our School will be closed for the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.
The safety and well-being of our school community are our utmost priority, and based on the latest weather reports and recommendations from local authorities, LAUSD and many ADLA schools deemed it necessary to cancel classes for tomorrow. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff, as the hurricane is expected to bring heavy rains, strong winds, and potential hazards to the area.
During this closure, we encourage parents to keep children indoors, away from windows and doors, and to stay updated on the hurricane’s progress through reliable news sources.
We understand that this closure might disrupt your plans, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, safety remains our primary concern, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Our school will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary.
Pick-up Procedures for 8/22 – 8/25 ONLY
As a reminder, Kindergarten dismissal is at 12 noon through August 25th. Since grades 1-8 are in school until 3:00 pm and lunch is at noon, we will not be opening the main 163rd gate and instead ask all Kindergarten families to park in the school parking lot accessible on Berendo Avenue and walk to the Kindergarten classroom for pick-up. A St. Anthony staff member will let parents in through the pedestrian gate.
Students should be in school uniform.
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to email me. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
Stay safe and take care.
Warmly,
Mrs. McCabe
