Dear First Grade Families,
I hope everyone is well. Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week, 9/4-9/8. Please make sure to read all important information to avoid questions that are clearly stated on all emails/ reminders. I would greatly appreciate it!
Gradelink
Parents are expected to check on grades weekly with their children to stay on top of academics. Please sign up for notifications so you can help your child monitor grades for success. Kindly download our Gradelink app and turn on your notifications. Your emails should be linked on Gradelink so you can receive any grade updates. If you need your Gradelink code, you may contact the office.
Incomplete/ Missing homework
Please check Gradelink regarding your child’s updated grades. I have some students that are marked INC (incomplete) for their Seesaw decodables and Sight Word notebook homework. Kindly make sure to follow the homework list to avoid missing homework
Monday, September 4
It’s Labor Day on Monday, no school! Enjoy your 3-day weekend!
Graded test papers
On Tuesday, we will be sending home checked and graded test papers from our Friday assessments. Please take time to go over them with your child, sign and return it by Wednesday. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
MATH HOMEWORK PAGES
I’m noticing some of our first graders are not following instructions on their Go Math homework pages. Please make it a habit with your child of reading the instructions before answering their homework pages. Not following instructions will lose half a point for each number that they don’t follow. The daily math homework pages assigned is a continuation of our math instruction in the classroom, I want to make sure that students fully understand the lessons well before doing their homework at home.
Homework
If you miss my email last week regarding our homework procedures and sample homework, you can check out my school blog and click on the links related to the homework. http://www.stanthonygardena.org/2022/09/11/9-12-9-16-homework-reminders/
