Catechetical Sunday, Sept 17 Please join us on Catechetical Sunday mass at 11am. All families welcome! Students are encouraged to wear their formal mass uniform to show support as part of the St. Anthony’s church community. I will unfortunately not be able to attend as I am in a two-year master’s program and we are having a commissioning mass on Sunday, so please let me know (or send me a photo!) of the kiddos in formal mass uniform on Sunday to get a free dress pass! Communication As we kick off this school year, I want to emphasize the importance of open and honest communication between us, parents and teachers. Your input is invaluable in ensuring your child’s success and creating a positive learning environment. If you ever find that your child is struggling to meet homework due dates or facing any personal concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I understand that life can be unpredictable, and I am here to support your child’s educational journey. Picture Day- Thursday, Sept 21st On Thursday, we will have our picture day. Students MUST come to school wearing complete FORMAL MASS UNIFORMS, CAMERA READY.Make sure their uniforms are complete and that their hair is combed as you want it to be photographed.Glassware Containers Recently, there have been incidents of students breaking their glass containers for packing snacks and meals. I kindly request that you use plastic, metal, or other non-breakable materials for your child’s meals. Hands, Feet Object (HFO) In our efforts to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, I kindly ask that you remind your child about HFO: Keep Hands, Feet, and Objects to Themselves. It’s crucial that students refrain from touching or handling objects that belong to others without permission. As their teacher, I will do my best to reinforce these reminders regularly in the classroom. However, your support at home is invaluable in reinforcing these essential lessons.Birthday goodie bags We wanted to remind you of our school’s birthday policy to bring goodie bags rather than cupcakes, donuts, pizza, in order to send the students off with treats to take home rather than being eaten in class. Mosquitos I wanted to bring to your attention a recent concern at our school that involves an increased presence of mosquitoes. As we strive to maintain a safe and comfortable learning environment for all our students, we wanted to keep you informed about this issue and the steps we are taking to address it.
