Dear Kindergarten Families,
I hope this email finds you well. I am so proud of our Kindergarteners who did so well attending our first Mass. We genuflected, prayed and were blessed! Thank you to our 8th grade friends who sit with us in the pews.
I kindly ask everyone please take the time to read all the information below.
Morning Routine
As you are aware, we only have one teacher on duty every morning, overseeing the arrival of our students. However, the number of students arriving during this period can make it challenging to maintain a safe and orderly environment. I believe that with your support, we can enhance the safety of our morning drop-off routine.
For the safety and well-being of our students, I kindly request your assistance and cooperation with the following guidelines:
- Sit Quietly on the Blue Bench: When your child is dropped off, please encourage them to sit quietly on the blue bench. Running, playing, yelling, screaming, or any disruptive actions are not allowed during this time. This will help us maintain a calm and safe environment and ensure they are a safe distance from moving vehicles.
- Walk to Their Designated Spots: When the bell rings, your child should walk to their designated spots calmly and in an organized manner.
I have already discussed these guidelines with our students this week, and your continued reinforcement of these instructions is greatly appreciated.
K-5 Sound of Music field trip, Wednesday, 10/25
I recommend students eat breakfast before coming to school. We will have an early snack before leaving school around 8am. We will follow a schedule with all students attending the field trip and we won’t be able to eat again until 12:15 pm.
What to wear: CORRECT AND COMPLETE regular school uniform. Please note that we will NOT be going to PE.
Sweater/sweatshirt/jacket/cardigans must have our logo on it.
Students will not be allowed to remove their jackets throughout the day, this will avoid losing or misplacing their jackets.
What to bring: Gallon size Ziploc bag with name (disposable water bottle, snack & lunch MUST all fit in the Ziploc, any item that’s not in the Ziploc bag will be left in school)
NO NEED TO BRING: Homework folder.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to check emails while we are on the Field Trip. Parent chaperones may be able to provide an update via the Band app.
Chaperones: Ms. Gomez (morning aide), Mrs. Gomez (Leonardo’s mom), Ms. Le (Vashit’s mom), and Mr. Pineda (Gianni’s dad).

All Saints’ Day Dress-Up
On November 1st, students may come to school dressed up as ANY Saint.
Saint costumes do not need to be elaborate! Students will process in Mass with the school in their costumes. Costumes should go over your child’s school uniform, as we will be changing after Mass. This will be part of their Religion participation grade.
Halloween Costumes
To ensure that all costumes follow our School’s Halloween costume guidelines, I would like to ask everyone what costume their child is planning to wearon October 31. Please be sure costumes meet all guidelines. They must be appropriate and pre-approved, or a student may be sent home to change. Please let me know what your child is wearing by via email by October 27th.

On-campus Medication
I would like to remind everyone of our school’s medication policy and the importance of keeping medication in our school office to ensure the safety and well-being of your child during school hours.
It is crucial that any medication required by your child while at school, whether it be prescription or over-the-counter, is stored securely in our school office. By doing so, we can maintain a safe and controlled environment, minimizing the risk of unauthorized access to medication and ensuring that it is administered properly when necessary.
We ask you to store your child’s medication in the school office:
1. Safety: Storing medication in the school office ensures that it is kept out of reach of children and handled only by authorized personnel.
2. Accurate Administration: Our office staff can accurately administer the medication at the prescribed times, reducing the likelihood of errors.
3. Emergency Preparedness: In the event of an emergency, having access to your child’s medication in the school office is crucial. This information is also kept in classroom Emergency Bags.
To facilitate this process, please complete the Medication Authorization Form, which includes details about your child’s medication, dosage, and administration instructions. You can obtain this form from the school office or by clicking here, School Policy and Medication Authorization Form.
Once you have completed the form, submit it to the school office along with the medication in its original packaging, clearly labeled with your child’s name.
We want to assure you that all medical information and records will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and only authorized school personnel will have access to this information.
We appreciate your cooperation in following our medication policy.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s well-being, and together, we can ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all our Kindergarten students.
