Hello families!
Last week the kids had a lot of fun with history as we went over King Arthur’s sword in the stone. We read that the inscription on the blade was “whosoever pulls the sword out of this stone shall be the King of England.” I told the kids I had seen a sword in the church that said “Whoever pulls the sword out of this stone shall be the third-grade teacher” and pulled out a fake sword from behind the desk. The kids were ecstatic and we passed around the prop sword. Another highlight of the week was the kids attending adoration for the first time this year. It was beautiful to watch the kids go up to the altar and kneel in front of Jesus. Their faith is inspiring!
In other announcements, I will be going on retreat with other students from my master’s program this Thursday and Friday, so I will not be offering tutoring on Thursday. If the kids need extra help, besides Tuesday they can come on Wednesday during lunchtime, and I can answer any questions.
