Hello Families!
Welcome back to school! I hope you all had a terrific Thanksgiving! I am thankful to be able to shepherd and work with the wonderful third-grade class. We only have 3 weeks until Christmas break, so we have a lot ahead of us, including the Christmas show on Wednesday, December 13 at 6pm.
Start of a new trimester- The kids have been working so hard and improving so much! I am sending out emails of missing assignments, and I will try to do so weekly. Grades indicate effort and comprehension, if there is something confusing for your child, please let me know and send them to tutoring on Thursday. If your child gets a 70% or below on any test or quiz, they can come to tutoring for a retake up to a week after it is passed back. Please email to let me know, so I can prepare materials for them.
Also, if a student is absent, on Google Classroom there are links to the math textbook and workbook along with the Journeys textbook and workbook, so you can print pages out at home and fill them out if they left them at school.
Reminders
Water bottles- Please have your kiddos bring in reusable water bottles (not plastic disposable) so they do not get dehydrated during the day!
Snacks- Please make sure that your child has a snack for the school day, I have noticed a few of the boys not having anything to eat at recess time, and have given out fruit snacks so they are not hungry.
