Dear Kindergarten Families,
I hope everyone is well. As we experience winter weather, kindly keep your child home if they are not feeling well.
This past week we learned about States of Matter: solid, liquid and gas. Ask your child how we incorporated science into our storytime with Sneezy the Snowman.
Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week, 1/22-1/26.
STAR Testing
We will be STAR testing this week. The test measures their knowledge from the 1st – 2nd trimester. Please make sure that your child has enough sleep and a healthy breakfast before coming to school. Last week during Community Circle, we shared what we had for breakfast and will continue to do so this week.
Students will be using our school iPad to do the test. Students will wear headphones to avoid distraction.
Special Person’s Day return slip (green paper)
For Catholic Schools Week, 1/29 – 2/2, a Special Persons’ Day form was sent home on Friday, 1/19 in your child’s green folder. Kindly complete it and return it in the front pocket of the green folder on Monday, 1/21.

100th day of school project
On February 5th, we will be celebrating the 100th day of school. We will be celebrating with many “100” activities throughout the day.
In preparation of the 100th day of school, please practice counting by 1’s, 5’s and 10’s to 100 with your child. Daily in class, we have been counting along with Jack Hartmann videos. Ask your child to do the Cowboy Count with you!
I will be sending home a 100th day of school project this week via the green folder which will be due February 5th.
