Dear Kindergarten Families,
I hope this email finds you well and you are continuing the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations this weekend. Last week when we dressed in green, the leprechaun visited our classroom. Please feel free to stop in and see the amazing leprechaun artwork our Kindergarten artists created!
Aquarium of the Pacific Field Trip, Monday, 3/18
Our last educational trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is on Monday, 3/18. Thank you everyone for returning the signed permission slips.
A few reminders for 3/18:
- Please pack your student’s disposable lunch in a ziplock sized bag with their name on it (how we did for the Getty Museum).
- All students MUST wear their school uniform. No free dress.
- Kindly arrive on time for school. I hope to board the bus at 8:15 am after attendance, getting lunches situated, using the restroom and dividing into our Chaperone exploration groups.
- Do NOT send money with your child. With so much to experience at the Aquarium, we will not be visiting the gift shop.
- Backpacks and snack are not needed. When we arrive at the Aquarium, I will provide students with a bag of goldfish while they are in line for entrance. As some students have a good size snack, please be sure your child has breakfast before coming to school.
- There will be seven adult chaperones for our 24 students.
Our Christmas Ornament fundraiser and the Big Yellow Bus program covered all expenses! Thank you to the Catholic Education Foundation and a directed donor for funding our transportation. And a thank you to all our Kindergarten families for their support at our ornament sale to cover the Aquarium entrance fees.
Mass with Father Figures, Tuesday, 3/19
