Dear First Grade Families,
I hope this email finds you well. I want to keep you informed about important updates that you and your child will need for this week, 3/25-3/29. Here’s a brief overview:
All School Mass, Wednesday, March 27th – FORMAL MASS UNIFORM
Our All School mass will be on March 27th. Students must come to school wearing formal mass uniform. Since we will have PE after mass, I recommend students to wear their school tennis(running) shoes.
Holy Thursday- NOON DISMISSAL, NO DAYCARE
We will have our K-2 Lenten retreat. We will provide students snacks (pretzel & grape juice) Students can bring their water bottles if they don’t want the grape juice.
Missed Test
If your child has missed the Friday tests, please schedule a make-up session within the week of their return. Monday is preferable or Thursday if we’re out on Monday. All missed tests will be done after school at 3:15-3:30pm. Additionally, kindly provide the necessary documentation (doctor’s note) for your child to take the make-up test. If your child has missed tests and you didn’t communicate with me, all tests will be marked incomplete.
Nonfiction Cereal Box Project
This project will be due on April 15th 2024. Instructions and template were sent March 15th. Please make sure to follow instructions to receive full credit.
Pretend City field trip
We will have our last educational trip on April 18th not the 19th to Pretend City with the 2nd graders. We will split all costs with the 2nd grade class (bus and entrance fee). Permission slips were sent out last Wed, 3/13. We are hoping that our fish fry and other funds will cover for all the expenses. I’ll keep everyone updated once we all the funds.
