Dear Kindergarten Families,
I hope this email finds you well-rested and rejuvenated after the Easter break.
As we resume classes, get ready to get your Solar Science on! Courtesy of the LA County Public Library system, Kindergarten is well equipped for the Solar Eclipse on Monday with eye protection eclipse glasses. Thank you Gardena and Manhattan Beach libraries! While SAP is not in the path of totality, we will experience 58% darkness between 10:06am and 12:22pm.
For the families who completed library applications, I will distribute your child’s library cards! Please be sure to visit Ms. Edu, the children’s librarian, at the Gardena Mayme Dear Library, who visited our class, sang, read and gave goodies to Kindergarten.
I’d like to provide you with some updates regarding our class for this week, 4/8-4/12. Here’s a brief overview:
All School Mass, Monday, April 8th – FORMAL MASS UNIFORM
Our All-School mass will be on April 8th, the Feast of the Annunciation. Students must come to school wearing formal Mass uniform.
Professor Egghead
Have you registered your child for Professor Egghead Spring Session?
In order for the SPRING Session to begin April 17, 2024, each class needs a minimum of 8 students.
EGGHEAD INVENTORScurrently 4 students enrolled NEED 4 morefor class to be held
Your child will learn the science behind becoming real-life inventors as they experiment with Helicopters,
Hovercraft, Catapults and Rockets.
They will get to take their inventions home!
Class will begin Wednesday, April 17 through June 5, 2024 from 1:45-2:45pm
Cost is only $147 ($21 per class) for 7 weeks
LEGO Engineering-Ancient Wonderscurrently 4 students enrolled NEED 2 morefor class to be held
Your child will build Ancient creations like an Aqueduct, Huge Dam, Wells, and Coliseums.
Then test them to see how their “wonders” handle certain tests.
Class will begin Wednesday, April 17 through June 5, 2024 from 3:05-4:05pm
Cost is only $147 ($21 per class) for 7 weeks
