5/13-5/17 First Grade Newsletter

Dear First Grade Families,

I hope this email finds you well. Firstly, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for the incredible generosity and thoughtfulness you’ve shown me throughout Teacher’s Appreciation Week. Your gifts and kind words have truly touched my heart, and I feel immensely grateful to have such wonderful support from all of you. Thank you for making me feel cherished and valued as your child’s teacher.

As we wrap up Teacher’s Appreciation Week, I also want to take a moment to extend warm wishes to all the mothers and mother figures. Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you have a beautiful weekend filled with love, laughter, and special moments with your loved ones. It was heartwarming to see the joy on the children’s faces as they proudly shared their “Daily Scoop Newspapers” and celebrated their moms with the whole class. Your presence and support mean the world to your children, and it was a joy to witness their excitement in honoring you.

Below are some updates regarding our class for this week, 5/13-5/17. Kindly take a moment to read through this week’s updates to avoid questions that are clearly stated on all emails/ reminders. I would greatly appreciate it!

Fiesta Updates

Mrs. Grey and Msgr. Sal have sent out emails to all families ad parishioners regarding the cancellation of the fiesta due to safety reasons.

As a result, Monday through Wednesday, 5/13-5/15, will be regular school days with no noon dismissal. Thursday and Friday, 5/16-5/17, will be student-free days due to teacher professional development sessions.

We will offer another full school day and full daycare till 6pm on Mon, 5/20. It will be a regular day of school.

If you require further information regarding this matter, please refer to the email from Mrs. Grey.

May 13 – Feast of Our Lady of Fatima

OurAll School Mass will be on Monday at 8am. Students must come to school wearing their complete formal mass uniform.

Culture Project- due on June 3rd

Directions: With help from a parent, students will:

1. Student will complete the attached report sheet. (Where the family’s from, language spoken, draw and color the national dish, flag and the traditional clothing)
2. Using the stencil, cut out and dress up your puppet with the traditional clothing of your culture.
3. Glue/Attach the puppet on the back of the report sheet.
4. Place the project inside the Ziploc with your number.
5. Return this attached rubric sheet with your project for full credit!

HundredX Express Feedback for Good 

St. Anthony of Padua Families it is time to join the HUNDREDX Feedback Fundraising campaign!
This year our goal is to raise $20,000 to help pay for:
*our new security camera system we installed in the daycare room,
*upgrades to our school computers, and the
*school share for our upgraded C3 Wi-Fi infrastructure for faster internet speed school wide. 
 
Here are the ways to sign up for the program:

The more signups you can generate in the beginning of the campaign, the better pace you’ll keep throughout the duration of the campaign. Get your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, and other supporters excited about the program by educating them on the impact they can help create for St. Anthony of Padua School!

Remember – HundredX Express Feedback for Good is our Spring Fundraiser that replaces Jog-a-thon (JAT) requirement on your
tuition contract. For our families new to St. Anthony of Padua school, this is our 3rd year partnering with HundredX to
earn funds for our school WITHOUT spending a cent!
May 1, 2024 through May 30, 2024 OR end once we reach our maximum goal of $20,000.
