Hello Families!
This week the children were preparing their hearts for Holy Week and practiced memorizing and reciting the stations of the cross. We read over the passage of the Last Supper, and Jesus’ command to love one another as I have loved you. The children’s responses were incredible! They were mentioning that: “We have a mission to help other people to go to heaven.” “We are saints in training and we help others to be saints too.” “If grown ups could say how upset they were ant talk about their problems, there wouldn’t be war.” ” If you love one another and help the homeless and others.” It is truly wonderful to see the kids showing kindness to each other and having such beautiful love for Jesus in their hearts. Keep up the great work in helping them grow their faith!
As we approach Holy Week starting on Palm Sunday, know of my prayers for you and your families!
Easter Break
Next week is a short week with Thursday being 12:00 dismissal and Good Friday being a non-school day. Stations of the cross led by 8th grade will be on Thursday 10:15-11:15. Starting Friday 3/29will be Easter break, and we return to school April 8th. Over the break, I highly encourage reading with your children, practicing multiplication, and working on ST Math regularly. Goal of 90% ST Math progress when we return and AR goal of 40%.
REDO/MAKEUP Work
I work very hard to keep the grades up-to-date weekly. PLEASE check Gradelink. Send your student to make-up/redo any tests or quizzes on Monday if needed, and turn in late work by Thursday for partial credit. If there is a discrepancy, please contact me! Many of you have been very good about reaching out about a test/subject your child had difficulty with or a grade you had a question about, and I appreciate the communication!
Tests/Quizzes/Homework
As an Easter gift to the kids, there will be NO HOMEWORK due this upcoming week unless a student does not finish a class activity/worksheet and needs to take it home. There will be a math Quiz on time on Tuesday.
