Dear First Grade Families,
Praying that everyone is well! I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the year. I am incredibly proud of all the students’ accomplishments. They have shown tremendous growth in so many ways – physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. It has been a joy to witness their development and achievements.
Below is all the information that you and your child will need for our last week, 6/10-6/13. I ask everyone to please read all the information below to avoid questions that are clearly stated on this email.
School Materials
Students will ONLY need their homework folder on Monday. Kindly make sure students bring their backpack daily, we will be sending home their school materials this week.
Homework
No homework for this week. Students may start working on their 2nd grade summer packet. It was given out last June 5th, Wednesday.
Attendance
Please note that attendance for this week will still be reflected on your child’s report card.
If you are planning not to bring your child to school for the last few days, kindly let me know in advance. This will allow me to make the necessary adjustments to their attendance records before I print and finalize the report cards.
CITIZENSHIP
I will send direct emails to all our awardees’ families by Tuesday, June 11th. A student must have O’s on both behavior and work habits. Most significantly, a student must follow our Tribes Agreement.
Work habits grade includes the following:
• Homework
• Classwork
• Projects
• Attendance
• Class participation
• Daily school materials (homework folder, etc.)
• Following classroom routines
• Following Tribes Agreement (in and out of the classroom)
• Tests
• ST Math goal
Hundred X fundraising Pizza party/ ice cream
Our class will have a pizza & Ice cream party on Tuesday, June 11th during lunch time. No need to buy or bring lunch that day for your child. Please notify Alvarado Catering if you prepaid.
June 13, Thursday- Last day of school, All School Mass, 3rd Trimester Awards
Thursday, 6/13, is our last day of school. We celebrate Msgr. Sal’s 32nd ordination anniversary, and the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua! We will have Mass at 10am in the church, and all are welcome to join us. There will be a special blessing of bread and lilies on this feast day of our school’s patron saint. Students will come to school in Formal Mass uniforms or Sunday Best for the 10am Mass. Following the Mass at 11am, we have our 3rd Trimester Awards Ceremony. Parents and family members are more than welcome to come, and students can pick up report cards at their classrooms afterward, if there are NO OUTSTANDING balances. If you have not cleared your tuition account, the office will hold your child’s report card. No student will get their report card early.
You may sign your child out of school after Mass. Please note that there will be NO DAYCARE offered on June 13, our last day of school. Please pick up your child by 12 Noon that day.
Important Dates
- June 10-12– regular school days for grades K-7
- June 13 – St. Anthony of Padua’s feast day, Msgr. Sal’s 32nd anniversary as a priest
- June 13 – 10 am Mass followed by 3rd Trimester Awards Assembly at 11am: 10am School Mass for Feast Day of St. Anthony of Padua, Blessing of bread and lilies, Last day of School Noon Dismissal. Pick up report cards at classroom after Mass, Last day of school, Happy Summer!
- July 8- August 2 – Summer Camp runs 4 weeks (sign up today with Ms. Pattie Padilla)
