Dear SAP School Families,
At Graduation last Friday, we recognized our eighth graders for their hard work and accomplishments. It was a lovely Mass and Commencement ceremony. Congratulations to all our families and students on this great milestone achievement! We hope our graduates stay in touch, and we look forward to seeing all that God has planned for them. Best of luck to all our graduates in high school. Thank you to all our junior high teachers for all your hard work, especially Mr. Richardson and the junior high teachers, for all your hard work and planning all the 8th grade festivities.
Last Monday, we had our Activities Banquet (Folklorico, Theater, and Sports). Thank you to all our amazing lead teachers and coaches for making the event possible, especially to Veronica Patel, Jessica Garcia, and Martha Zambrano! Crossover Day was on June 5 at 10:20am for grades K-7. Summer packets and supply lists were passed out at that time, and students were introduced to their new teachers for next year. You can also find these in the office and online on teachers’ blogs.
Thank you to Patty Dungo Morales for leading our Gently Used Uniform Sales this year, along with all our parent volunteers. We appreciate your support!
Tomorrow, 6/11, we have our Pizza and Ice Cream party for the Hundred X Class Winners: 1st, 7th, and 3rd Grade!
Our Hundred X Spring fundraiser was extended, and we reached our goal of $30,000 in a month! This is OUTSTANDING! What an easy way to raise money. It doesn’t cost us a cent, and our school gets all the proceeds! We are now able to pay our school share for upgrading our Wi-Fi infrastructure, and pay for our new daycare security and camera system. THANK YOU for your help and participation!
This coming Wed 6/12, we will be having our Kindergarten Promotion in the Hall at 8:15 am! We are thrilled for our Kindergartners who are ready to become Awesome Firsties! It’s an exciting moment for both parents and students. We congratulate all Kinder parents and Ms. Marian Calinog on completing their first school year at SAP together!
This Thursday, 6/13, is our last day of school. We celebrate Msgr. Sal’s 32nd ordination anniversary, and the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua! It is also Ms. Pattie Padilla’s birthday! We will have Mass at 10am in the church (not 8am), and all are welcome to join us. There will be a special blessing of bread and lilies on this feast day of our school’s patron saint. Students will come to school in Formal Mass uniforms or Sunday Best for the 10am Mass. Following the Mass at 11am, we have our 3rd Trimester Awards Ceremony. Parents and family members are more than welcome to come, and students can pick up their report cards at their classrooms afterward, if there are NO OUTSTANDING balances. If you have not cleared your tuition account, the office will hold your child’s report card. No student will get their report card early.
You may sign your child out of school after Mass on Thursday 6/13. Please note that there will be NO DAYCARE offered on June 13, our last day of school. Please pick up your child by 12 Noon that day.
You may also pick up your report cards in the office next week. Summer office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8am-12pm. The office is closed on Fridays in the summer till mid-August.
Open enrollment to the public began on March 1. If you did not register, your child will be automatically waitlisted. Those on a registration hold may not register until your hold is lifted by administration. All accounts must be current in order for your child to receive their report card and re-register for next school year. Only registered students may attend Summer Camp.
Yearbooks have been distributed to all students who ordered them. As a reminder, students may not cross out their face or anyone else’s face or use profanity in our yearbooks. Parents have paid money for these books and other students should not deface their property. If someone defaces a yearbook, they are responsible for replacing it. This is a memento meant to last for years to come. Thank you to Ms. Sardina, Mr. Farley, and the Yearbook Committee for doing such a fantastic job on our yearbook!
The SAP Feast day festivities run from June 14-15 (Friday 5-10pm, and Saturday 12 noon-10pm). Please read more info in the Parish Bulletin and come enjoy it with your families! Hope to see you there! Our rising 8th graders will have a fundraiser there, so thanks in advance for your support!
A final thank you to our phenomenal Faculty and Staff, and we also say thank you and bid farewell to our Resident Principal, Mr. Gabriel Reyes. I have been honored to be your mentor this year. We will miss having an Onward Leader next year, but we are thrilled that we had you with us for this school year. Best of luck at St. Maria Goretti School in Long Beach. Please stay in touch and come back to visit.
I pray you all have a Happy and Safe Summer! We thank God for the beautiful year we leave behind and Our Blessed Mother for her protection and guidance this year. See you in August!
Happy Fathers’ Day this Sunday!
Many Blessings,
Angela Grey, Principal
Mr. Reyes, Co-Principal

RALPH’S AND FOOD 4 LESS COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM
Just a reminder that our school is a member of the Community Rewards Programs for both Ralphs and Food 4 Less stores. For the Ralphs & the Food 4 Less Programs, you can opt in for the Community Rewards Program using your Ralphs or Food 4 Less Club Card. Please note that there is a different enrollment code for each of these stores. It is very important that you register the cards as soon as possible prior to the next time you use them, or the school will not receive benefits. Then please have the cashier scan the card or enter your ALT ID every time you make a purchase at Ralphs or Food 4 Less and we will receive a small percentage of each sale! We invite any parents or guardians who shop at Food 4 Less or Ralphs, even occasionally, to consider enrolling as this is an easy way to benefit the school without it costing you anything extra. We thank you in advance for your participation and thoughtfulness!
