Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at St. Anthony of Padua! We are so excited that school is underway and hope that your child has had a wonderful week! For those that do not know me, I am Mrs. Jessica Garcia, the Music and Theatre Arts Teacher at St. Anthony of Padua School.
This year in music we will prepare grades to sing songs together as well as improve their knowledge of music theory, history, and voice and diction. During the third trimester, classes will focus on musical theatre as we prepare for our annual classroom shows!
Just a reminder, for the Christmas Show and Classroom Musical Shows, you will be responsible for finding a costume for your student(s). I send the information out one to two months early. Please don’t wait until the last minute to find costumes. You are not required to go out and spend a ton of money on them. Costumes can be simple, but please make sure your child has a costume for the shows. It is part of their grade.
3rd-8th grade will be invited to audition for our after-school theatre program where we will prepare for our mainstage show Aladdin Jr. We are thrilled to continue to offer this unique theatre program that is not offered at any other Catholic Elementary School!
Music and Theatre Arts will begin Tuesday, August 27, 2024, and will conclude Thursday, June 5th. Below, you will find a link to a google form syllabus acknowledgement. Please review the syllabus with your student(s) and submit the form through this link. Families with multiple children, please submit the form once and make sure to list all students at St. Anthony of Padua.
Below you will find a music supply list for grades 3-8. Those in K-2 do not need to bring any supplies to music. There is also a general supply list below. When donating an item, you can drop the supplies in the office with a bag labeled Music Room 5.
