Dear Parents,
Last week, we had back-to-school night, and the junior high team covered essential information to prepare for what’s to come this new school year. If you were absent, I have attached the slideshows for Mrs. Grey’s and junior high presentations, providing a convenient way to catch up on what you missed.
Please read through the newsletter to stay updated on what’s going on this week and forward.

Assessments
All junior high will be starting their first fiction short story this week. Their comprehension quizzes and tests will be scheduled and communicated in advance. Please review the dates in your child’s school planner.
Makeup Tests
If your child was absent on a test day or you notice they have an “AB” or “IC” on a quiz or test, please have them stay on Mondays to make up their exams.
Students cannot retake assessments to improve their grades. I understand that was a practice done before at SAP, but all junior high teachers will follow the same procedure this year.
Chocolate Money and Trojan Drawing
Chocolate money is due tomorrow, Monday, if you want your child to qualify for the first Trojan Drawing. Trojan Drawing #1 is this Thursday, September 12th, at 1 p.m.
Choir
Monday, 9/9, is also the church’s first day of Choir practice. Student Government meetings are held on Mondays after school with Ms. Garcia, starting at 3 pm. Those in choir and Student Government will go to practice after their Student Government meeting.
Student Government Popsicle Sale
Tuesday, 9/10, is the Student Government Popsicle distribution and sale. Those who buy tomorrow will get 1 pop for $2 and 2 pops for $3. Thank you for your support!
Fall Picture Day
Fall Picture Day is on 9/19. The yearbook photos require a Full Mass uniform with white shirts/blouses, ties, vests, and cardigans. Please do not send your child in a PE sweater, Student Government sweater, or any other hoodies or jackets. We hope for a uniform look for the yearbook and student ID photos.
