Halloween Costumes:
To ensure that all costumes follow our school’s Halloween guidelines, I ask that you let me know what costume your child plans to wear on October 31. Costumes must be appropriate and pre-approved, or a student may be sent home to change. Please share your child’s costume using the link below:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/19pIQ0zkBWI34qCzxUBpsfJ9JiZ9gUogyVt6sIn23NJA/edit?usp=sharing
- Costumes should be child-friendly. No inflatables, gory or scary clowns, devils, or scary costumes.
- Costumes should not:
- Be obstructive, offensive, or inappropriate for a Catholic school (no skimpy or revealing outfits, gory, evil, or violent themes).
- Drag on the ground.
- Contain sharp or pointed objects that could accidentally strike another person.
- Include weapons that resemble or could be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Encourage cross-dressing. Boys dress like boys, and girls dress like girls.
Truancy Policy:
A student is considered truant if absent without a valid excuse for three full days in a school year or is tardy or absent for more than any 30-minute period during the school day on three occasions in a school year, or any combination thereof. The school will report truant students to the local public school district’s attendance office or the superintendent.
In cases where a student is suspected of being habitually truant, the school administration will first contact the parents/guardians. If the student continues to be absent without a valid excuse, the school may notify the local Child Welfare and Attendance authorities.
