Dear Third Grade Families,
I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend. We are entering our last full week of school before Christmas break, and I am filled with excitement for all the festive and meaningful activities we have planned! Here’s a look at what’s coming up for the week of Dec. 9 -Dec. 13. Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. Sunday, Dec 8th – Family Mass
Tomorrow is our monthly Family Mass. See you at 11am! Our school choir will be singing in the choir loft. If your child wears their Formal Mass uniform, they can get a Free Dress pass. They just need to check in with a staff member after Mass to prove they were present and in their Mass uniform. Passes may be given out by the staff member or their child’s teacher this week.
Monday, Dec 9th – All School Mass
We are observing the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We will have our weekly All School Mass in the Church at 8am. All students must wear Formal Mass uniform. No need to wear mass uniform on Friday.
Tuesday Dec. 10th – Third Grade Christmas Party
The students have taken photos of their assigned classmate’s wishlist on their iPads, so you’ll find their Secret Santa information there.
Here’s what you need to know:
- SecretSantaGift Details:
- Gift Limit: $10 (before tax). Funny how the students asked me about this and had to explain tax to them.(We had a good laugh clarifying what “before tax” means!)
- Students should select a gift or gifts from their Secret Santa’s wishlist that fit within this budget.
- Due Date: Gifts should be brought to school wrapped and labeled with the recipient’s name on or before Tuesday, December 10.
- Christmas Party Information: – Dec 10
- On Tuesday, December 10, we have Mass, so students must wear their regular uniform or PE uniform.
- Students may bring a Christmas sweater to wear during the party.
- The party cost is $13 per student, which covers pizza, spaghetti, juice, and dessert. Flyers with payment instructions were sent home in their homework folders today.
- Please tear off the bottom portion of the flyer and submit it with your payment to the school office by Monday, December 9.
Our room parents have also posted the Christmas Party details and payment information on the Band app for your convenience.
Wednesday Dec. 11th– Christmas Sweater, Jeans AND Hot Chocolate sale
Students can come to school wearing Christmas Sweater and school bottoms. $1 for jeans.
Friday, Dec 13th- Christmas Show, Noon Dismissal, and Daycare offered till 3pm
THE HOLIDAY MARKET IS ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2024, ANDSTARTS AT 4PM AND GOES UNTIL 8:30PM. THE CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL WILL BEGIN AT6:00PM. STUDENTS NEED TO BE IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AT5:30PMTHAT EVENING. Please have students eat before the show begins at our Christmas Market!The room assignments you will be dropping and picking your students up at is as follows: K-2: Homerooms, 3rd: Rm. 7 (Daycare), 4th: Rm. 6 (PE), 5th: Rm. 5 (Music), 6-8: Homerooms. You will also pick-up your students from these locations.
Please make sure to bring the following: Chairs, blankets, anything else to keep you warm, and LED candles so you can glow with the show!
ATTIRE
K-8th Grade (Excludes 5th): Students will be wearing Poinsettia (Christmas) red! Boys should dress in nice dress shirt tops (Red) with black dress pants (NO JEANS), and black shoes and socks. Girls can either wear a red formal dress with leggings (socks or tights in tan, white, or black) and black dress shoes. Or they can wear a red blouse with a black skirt, white tights and black dress shoes. A red blouse and black pants will also be appropriate for the girls if you are worried about the weather. Hair should be nicely done. Make-up for the girls is allowed, but not required. Parents can decide if they want their children to wear make-up. Everyone should look nice and formal.
Please Note: We are outside for the Christmas Show. Students are allowed to wear coats and scarves. Please keep them in the color scheme of the show (Christmas colors: Red, Green, Silver, Gold, Black, White).
PLEASE NO SANTA HATS OR REINDEER EARS. WE WANT TO LOOK FESTIVE AND FORMAL!

- Dec 9 – Kinder and 4th grade Las Posadas and 8am Mass for Holy Day of Obligation (Feast of the Immaculate Conception observed today)
- December 11– Christmas sweater day, $1 fundraiser for StuGo to wear Jeans, hot chocolate day (presale 12/2-12/9 for $2 each)
- December 13 – NOON Dismissal, Christmas Program, Market, Tree Lighting: Holiday Cash Raffle Winners announced outside on blacktop, OUTSIDE, dress accordingly, bring lawn chairs and blankets (more info to come from Mrs. Garcia)
- Dec 16 and 17 – Noon Dismissal on both days, 12/16 Daycare till 6pm, 12/17 NO DAYCARE due to last day of school before Christmas break, Staff Luncheon off campus at 12:15, please pick up kids on time
- Dec 18-Jan 3–Christmas Break
- Jan 6 –Classes Resume
