Dear Third Grade Families,
Hope everything is well! Here’s a look at what's coming up for the week of Jan 27 -Jan. 31. Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. If you missed last week’s email, you can find updates on my school blog: /third-grade
Ballona Wetlands fieldtrip
We have our upcoming 3rd & 4th Grade field trip to the Ballona Wetlands, happening in February 21st.
Mr. Aguilar has sent an invoice to all 3rd and 4th grade families regarding the payment for this trip. The total cost is $15 per student, which covers both the entrance fee and bus transportation. We are fortunate to have received partial funding for the bus, which helped lower the overall cost for each family.
Additionally, I am seeking one more parent volunteer who is Virtus trained and fingerprinted to join us for this educational experience. If you are interested and meet these requirements, please let me know as soon as possible.
Progress Reports
Progress report and STAR test results for the second trimester was sent home last Friday, Jan24th. Please keep in mind that the progress report is just a snapshot of where your child is at right now. I sent 2 copies home, one copy must be signed and returned on Monday and one is yours to keep. All grades are updated daily, any missing homework or assignments will reflect on your child’s grades. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to reach out to me directly—I’m here to help.
There is still plenty of time for grades to improve before final grades are issued at the end of the 2nd trimester.
Annual Open House
Tomorrow Sunday, January 26 will be our Annual Open House from 12-2pm, after our 11am All School Family Mass. Students can earn free dress passes from their teachers if they come to Mass in Full Mass uniform that day and check in with their teacher.
