Dear Third Grade Families,

Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. If you missed last week’s email, you can find updates on my school blog: /third-grade
Deadlines:
Bringing Cash to School
I've noticed that many students have been bringing cash to school to purchase snacks. However, I have also observed students exchanging and giving money to one another, as well as incidents where money has been lost or misplaced.
To help prevent these issues, please encourage your child to only bring the exact amount needed for their snack and avoid bringing excessive cash. This will help ensure that their money is used appropriately and does not get lost.
Feb 5- 100th day of school
We are excited to celebrate the 100th Day of School on Wednesday! To make this day extra fun, students are welcome to:
This is a fun and optional activity, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone together!
Class Spelling Bee
Our classroom Spelling Bee will take place on Thursday, February 13. All students will participate in this exciting event!
Spelling Bee word lists were sent home last week, ranging from 1st-grade to high school-level words. Please take some time to review these words with your child to help them prepare.
The top two finalists from our class will move on to compete in the All-School Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 19.
Ballona Wetlands fieldtrip
We have our upcoming 3rd & 4th Grade field trip to the Ballona Wetlands, happening in February 21st. Mr. Aguilar has sent an invoice to all 3rd and 4th grade families regarding the payment for this trip. The total cost is $15 per student, which covers both the entrance fee and bus transportation. We are fortunate to have received partial funding for the bus, which helped lower the overall cost for each family.

Third Grade Parent Survey
As we continue our journey through third grade, I welcome your feedback on how the year is going and how we can work together to make this a positive and enriching experience for your child. While it may seem early for an evaluation, I want to ensure every family has the opportunity to share thoughts, ask questions, or offer suggestions—especially if you didn’t have a chance to do so at Back to School Night.
This survey is anonymous, and I sincerely appreciate your input. Please keep feedback focused on the classroom experience. Click the link: https://forms.gle/HtPzhZ5Dd1Ysq3ubA
