Classroom Needs- white board markers and magazines
Third graders are in need of black, blue, and red whiteboard markers for our classroom. If you are able to donate any, it would be greatly appreciated!
Additionally, for our art activity this Friday, we need magazines for students to cut out pictures. If you have any old magazines at home that you no longer need, please send them with your child by Friday morning.
Encouraging Mutual Respect and Kindness in Third Grade
I would like to ask for your support in reinforcing the importance of mutual respect and kindness with our students. Recently, there has been an ongoing issue in our class where some students are saying hurtful things to one another. While some may think it is just a joke, it is important to remember that words can impact others deeply. I have been addressing this in class, but since the issue persists, I have made it clear to students that moving forward, any further incidents will result in a detention.
Additionally, students are reminded to keep their hands, feet, whole body, and objects to themselves at all times. Mrs. Grey has also reinforced this expectation schoolwide, and any violation will result in an automatic detention.
Please help me by reminding your child to always show respect, kindness, and care toward others—whether at school, online, or in any setting.
Discovery Cube- March 31st
Our upcoming field trip to Discovery Cube is on March 31st! Thanks to a generous bus sponsor and the use of our class fund, we were able to reduce the cost of the trip. The total fee for both the bus and entrance is $14 per student.

As we continue our journey through third grade, I welcome your feedback on how the year is going and how we can work together to make this a positive and enriching experience for your child. While it may seem early for an evaluation, I want to ensure every family has the opportunity to share thoughts, ask questions, or offer suggestions—especially if you didn’t have a chance to do so at Back to School Night. This survey is anonymous, and I sincerely appreciate your input. Please keep feedback focused on the classroom experience. Click the link: https://forms.gle/HtPzhZ5Dd1Ysq3ubA
