I hope you all had a restful 3-day weekend. Thursday, March 6th, we concluded our 2nd trimester and Friday, March 7th, our 3rd trimester has begun.
Third Trimester will be quick for our 8th Graders, please inform and remind them of the following:
Attendance - Students who will excessive a combination of unexcused tardies and absences may affect their eligibility to participate in all 8th grade activities for the for the last trimester.
Behavior - As 8th graders, they must continue to demonstrate the Schoolwide Learning Expectations - Followers of Jesus, Academically Aware, Socially Aware, and Totally Healthy in Mind, Body, and Spirit. Students are still expected to adhere the TRIBES' AGREEMENTS.
Academics - Students are expected to continue to submit quality work on time. If they are struggling, continue to ask for clarifications during class time and/or attend office hours.
We want our 8th graders to enjoy the rest of their stay here at SAP and graduate with flying colors. Few more months and they will be entering their chosen High Schools. Second Trimester Awards Our second trimester awards is this coming Thursday, March 13 in the Hall at 9AM. Email will be sent out tonight and/or tomorrow morning for students who will be receiving award/s for the 2nd trimester.
Verbum Dei Jesuit High School If your students is interested, Verbum Dei Jesuit HS still have a few spots open for the 2025-2026 school year. We encourage families who have not applied to do so. ** Please enter the post office/chamber of commerce building and knock on the door that says Dial-A-Ride (City of Manhattan Beach). If this is your first time volunteering, pls. fill-up and submit the Manhattan Beach Volunteer Form on the day of the service. ** Please bring a printed copy of your Christian Service Form. The Dial-A-Ride Office printer/scanner is sometimes out of service. ** Parents should be there ready to pick up their kids.
Pauly's Project The fifth grade class will be leading this year’s Lenten Project in partnership with Pauly’s Project. The donation drive will run from Wednesday, March 5th, to Friday, March 29th, and our community service event will take place on Sunday, April 6th.

I asked that each 8th grader to donate a minimum of 3 of the assigned item for our class. This is to help fulfill the 100 hygiene kits the 5th graders are planning to make.
Don't forget to add your student as an “Attendee” and complete the release form!
Thousand Pines Trip Fees
The cost for this trip is $500. This includes program fee, bus transportation, food, lodging, and musicians fee. Kindly send your payments to Mr. Aguilar on/before Thursday, April 17.
