February 24: 2nd Trimester Mass Reflection (7 reflections required)
Monday, Feb 17 Happy Presidents’ Day! There is No School on Monday. School will resume tomorrow 2/18.
Ballona Wetlands fieldtrip, Friday, 2/21 Our 3rd and 4th-grade students will be going on a field trip to the Ballona Wetlands this Friday, February 21. Last week, a representative from Ballona Wetlands provided students with an overview of the trip. Please review the following important reminders to ensure your child is prepared.
Digital Waiver: As part of our upcoming trip next week, all students, teachers, and chaperones must complete the Friends of Ballona Wetlands waiver. Please take a moment to sign the waiver for your child using the link below: Waiver Link
Before Coming to School:
Have a hearty breakfast. Students will need a lot of energy
Apply sunscreen and bring a hat.
What to Wear:
Regular school uniform.
School jacket with logo.
Comfortable tennis shoes.
What to Bring:
Backpack with snacks, lunch, and a full water bottle.
Wipes and tissues.
Schedule:
Departure from school: 8:00 AM
Return to school: 2:30 PM
Important Reminders:
Restrooms at Ballona Wetlands are limited to porta-potties. Students will use the restroom before departure, but please send tissues and wipes just in case.
There are no water stations at the site. Ensure your child brings a full water bottle.
The trip involves a lot of walking, so students must wear comfortable tennis shoes.
Since we will be near the water, it may be chilly. Students must wear their school jackets with the school logo.
For safety purposes, please place a small piece of paper with your contact number inside your child’s shoe.
