Dear Fourth Grade Families, Happy February!!! I hope this email finds you well. Thank you all for your participation during Catholic's Week. Here’s a look at what's coming up for the week of Feb.3 -Feb.7. Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. If you missed any email, you can find updates on my school blog:https://nnolva.sites.ecatholic.com/fourth-grade
Deadlines:
February 24: 2nd Trimester Mass Reflection (7 reflections required)
Monday Feb.3rd All School Mass This week we will have an All School Mass on Monday Feb 3rd instead of Friday. Please have the students come tomorrow in Formal Mass Uniform.
Bringing Cash to School I've noticed that many students have been bringing cash to school to purchase snacks. However, I have also observed students exchanging and giving money to one another, as well as incidents where money has been lost or misplaced. To help prevent these issues, please encourage your child to only bring the exact amount needed for their snack and avoid bringing excessive cash. This will help ensure that their money is used appropriately and does not get lost.
Feb 5- 100th day of school We are excited to celebrate the 100th Day of School on Wednesday! To make this day extra fun, students are welcome to:
Dress up as a 100-year-old
Wear a shirt with 100 things on it
Wear their regular school uniform (if they choose not to participate)
We will do some activities (math and ELA) around the number 100.
Class Spelling Bee Our classroom Spelling Bee will take place on Wednesday, February 12. All students will participate in this exciting event! Spelling Bee word lists were sent home last week, ranging from 1st-grade to high school-level words. Please take some time to review these words with your child to help them prepare. The top two finalists from our class will move on to compete in the All-School Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 19. Ballona Wetlands fieldtrip We have our upcoming 3rd & 4th Grade field trip to the Ballona Wetlands, happening in February 21st. Mr. Aguilar has sent an invoice to all 3rd and 4th grade families regarding the payment for this trip. The total cost is $15 per student, which covers both the entrance fee and bus transportation. We are fortunate to have received partial funding for the bus, which helped lower the overall cost for each family.
