Hope everything is well! Here’s a look at what’s coming up for the week of Feb 24-Feb 28c. Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. If you missed last week’s email, you can find updates on my school blog: Fifth Grade Blog.
Deadlines: February 24: 2nd Trimester Mass Reflection (7 reflections required)
Missed tests and Make-up policy Parents, please email me if your child will be staying after school to make up missed tests. Failure to do so will result in your child receiving an NI (Needs Improvement) on their missed tests. Make-up test days will be scheduled based on availability, as I have meetings on some days.
Finalizing Grades & Deadlines Gradelink will be blocked starting Monday, Feb 24th. I will start finalizing grades this week. If your child has any missing classwork, homework, projects, or tests, I will only accept them by Tuesday, February 25th—no exceptions. Additionally, AR goals and ST Math goals deadline are due by Tuesday, February 28th.
Tuesday, 2/25: Ukelele Performance 5th grade has been working hard on their Ukulele unit with Mr. Paul. You are invited to come and hear the students perform the songs they have been working on.
The 5th grade performance will be during class time in Rm. 5 (Music) from 11:45-12:15pm on Tues. Feb. 25th. Please sign-up here if you are able to join us. You can sign-in at the office at 11:30am. If you can't attend, don't worry, we plan to have our Media club put together a highlight reel!
Students can wear Hawaiian attire for the day of the performance and can wear it to school (unless they are attending Mass that day). They can also change before music class. If they are NOT wearing Hawaiian attire, they should wear their regular uniforms. They are also allowed to change into their outfits during the 10am recess if they don't want to wear it the entire day.
Fri. 2/28 I will be out on Friday this week, and there will be a substitute in my place. Our class schedule and routine will remain the same, and students will still be expected to take all their tests as planned. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me.

Fifth Grade Parent Survey As we continue our journey through fifth grade, I welcome your feedback on how the year is going and how we can work together to make this a positive and enriching experience for your child. While it may seem early for an evaluation, I want to ensure every family has the opportunity to share thoughts, ask questions, or offer suggestions—especially if you didn’t have a chance to do so at Back to School Night. This survey is anonymous, and I sincerely appreciate your input. Please keep feedback focused on the classroom experience. Click the link: https://forms.gle/Tp9d9GRGMUvtHeoh6
Classroom Tissue As we continue our school year, our classroom is running low on tissues, and we would greatly appreciate any donations! With the colder months ahead, tissues are essential for keeping our students comfortable and our classroom clean.
If you are able to donate, please send a box of tissues with your child at your earliest convenience. Every contribution helps, and we truly appreciate your generosity and support!
Thank you for helping keep our classroom a healthy and welcoming space for all.
