3/31-4/2 Third Grade Highlights

Dear Third Grade Families,

Hope everyone is doing well! Here’s a look at what's coming up for the week of March 31 -April 4 Please make sure to read all the important information below to avoid any questions that may already be addressed. Discovery Cube- Monday March 31^st

A quick reminder about our upcoming field trip on Monday. Here are a few important details to keep in mind:

• Arrival Time: Please arrive at school between 7:30 - 7:40 am. We plan to leave promptly at 7:45 am. 
• What to Bring:
  • A small backpack with a snack, lunch, and water bottle.
  • Do not bring homework folders, iPads, or planners.
• What to Wear: Students should wear their regular school uniform.
• Breakfast: I recommend having a heavy breakfast at home, as we might not have time to eat snacks upon arrival. If we arrive early at our destination, I will have the students eat before we start.

Our parent chaperones will update you through band, we have Mrs. Chavarria, Mrs. Zepeda and Mrs. Tan. 

Deadlines:

ARK test, Wed. April 2nd.

Grades 1-8 will be taking the ARK test on Wednesday at 8:00 am. I have sent home study guides in your child’s homework folder. We have already read through them multiple times in the classroom, but I encouraged students to review them at home whenever they have time.

Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep the night before and has a good breakfast on Wednesday morning to help them do their best.

 

Classroom Needs- white board markers 

Third graders are in need of black, blue, and red whiteboard markers for our classroom. If you are able to donate any, it would be greatly appreciated! 

 

Focus of the Week:

• Math: Module 11, Understand Perimeter Facts of 0-12
• Grammar: Abbreviations, Commas, Apostrophes, Addresses
• Religion: TOB book 2, Lesson 4
• Prayer: Gloria
• Science: Lesson 11- Electric Force
